Dear UGA Members,
To those who registered for UGA's Summit of Excellence 2020, which took place on Friday, September 11th, and Saturday, September 12th, we say thank you! We hope you enjoyed learning from some of the foremost presenters in the fields of genealogy and genealogical DNA. You should have received an email with the links to the closed-captioned webinar recordings, which are available through December 31, 2020.
I express gratitude for each presenter and every member of the UGA Conference Committee who worked so hard to bring quality content to a broader UGA and public audience—we had attendees join us from as far away as Canada, England, and Australia! Thank you, Christine Cohen, Alexa Corcoran, Dan Greenland, Gerhard Ruf, and Michael Strauss for being the public face of UGA’s Summit of Excellence! A special thank you to Michael Strauss for his beautiful commemoration of 9/11 and for his keynote address, “Women’s Suffrage: Their Rights, Roles, and Limitations.” Thank you, Zachary Hamilton and Tristan Tolman for your publicity efforts; thank you Peg Ivanyo for your advisory support. Thank you all for your enthusiasm and encouragement as we worked outside the box!
